BASIS

FIRST. AIM

The Youth Department, with the aim of editing, publishing and disseminating the second Benidorm Youth Plan, is organizing a “DESIGN COMPETITION FOR THE COVER OF THE SECOND BENIDORM YOUTH PLAN”.

SECOND. PARTICIPANTS

All young people between the ages of 14 and 30, inclusive, may participate.

THIRD. THEME

The submitted covers must be original, unpublished and must not have won any other competition. The design is free.

The size must be DIN A3 or DIN A4.

FOURTH. NUMBER AND TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

A maximum of two works per person may be submitted.

The original covers must include the following exact title: II PLAN

FIFTH. PRESENTATION RULES

The covers will be anonymous and will be submitted in a large sealed envelope marked “BENIDORM YOUTH PLAN COVER DESIGN COMPETITION”, without any personal details appearing on the envelope.

The large envelope will contain another sealed envelope (the sealed envelope) containing the author’s details: name, surname, address, photocopy of ID, age, contact telephone number and email address. The registration form must be included with this information (Annex I of these rules).

In the case of minors, the consent of the parents or legal guardians and a photocopy of the ID of the responsible adult must also be included (Annex II of these rules).

SIXTH. SUBMISSION DEADLINE

The works can be submitted until November 8, 2024.

The covers must be submitted in person or by certified mail, to the attention of the Youth Department of Benidorm City Council, clearly indicating on the envelope:

SEVENTH. AWARDS

There is a single prize of THREE HUNDRED EUROS (300.00 €) and two-second prizes of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY EUROS (150.00 €).

A second prize will be awarded to the best cover submitted by authors under 18 years old. The second prize will be awarded to the best cover submitted by authors between 18 and 30 years of age, inclusive.

In the case of winners under 18 years old, the prize will be awarded in the form of school, educational or similar material, for the corresponding amount, to be chosen by the winner.

In any case, the jury may, at its discretion, declare any of the prizes void.

EIGHTH. JURY

The jury will be responsible for selecting the finalist works and the winner, taking into account the criteria of creativity, quality, suitability of content, originality and impact of the message being conveyed.

The jury will be composed of:

The Councillor for Youth or the person to whom she delegates.
The Head of Youth will act as Secretary.
Two people linked to design and plastic arts.
One person linked to youth associations.
The result of the competition will be notified by publishing the jury's decision on the City Council's website, within a maximum of 10 working days from the end of the competition.

NINTH. EXHIBITION

The winning work will become municipal property; consequently, Benidorm City Council acquires the rights to exploit and modify the work derived from it and the right to reproduce it when it deems necessary.

The winning work will be the cover of the II Plan Joven de Benidorm.

The non-winning works may be used digitally in the publication of the II Plan Joven as a sample of the design competition or for any other considered purpose.

ELEVENTH. DATA PROTECTION

Participants in this call for applications must express their consent for their data to be incorporated confidentially into the files owned by Benidorm City Council. Benidorm City Council has the necessary measures in place to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and the regulations that develop it. Participants may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition by writing to Benidorm City Council, Plaza de SSMM Los Reyes de España, 1, C.P. 03501 – Benidorm (Alicante).
