Citizen observations:

COLLECTION OF WATER SAMPLES (Network, Cistern, Well):
sampling must guarantee that the water that reaches the Laboratory is
the same, both in its chemical composition and in its composition
microbial, then what is collected (cutter, net, pool, etc.).

Sampling is as important as analysis in obtaining an adequate result.

To do this, the following procedure must be used with the utmost care:

- Purchase a 1.5-litre sterile plastic container from the Pharmacy.

- Do not remove the bag that protects it until the water is collected.

- Flame, if possible, the tap, pipe or hose. Open the tap
from which it is going to be taken and let the water run with a moderate flow of 3 to
5 minutes. In the case of a drilled well, until it is no longer cloudy.

- Open the screw cap of the sterile container, being careful
scrupulous not to touch with clothing or any external agent, the part
inside the cap or sterile container. Don't leave the cover
face down on the ground.

- Rinse the sterile container once or twice with water at
analyze, and fill the jar, leaving about four centimetres unfilled
on top.

- Cover the container with the screw cap, tightening appropriately, to prevent water leaks.

- Close the tap.

- Immediately take the collected sample to the laboratory.

- If the sample cannot be taken to the laboratory immediately, it must be kept in the refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours. (Not in the freezer)

If in doubt, consult with the Laboratory staff.
