Benidorm City Council has started the process for preparing the Equality Plan for municipal staff with the meeting of the Equality Committee. The Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll, participated in this meeting wiht representatives of the workers and of the three departments involved in the drafting of this plan: Equality, Human Resources and Social Welfare.
The elaboration of the Equality Plan for municipal staff was approved in plenary last May. Councilor for Equality explained that "this is the first step for drafting this Plan is the diagnosis of the situation of the staff, which will serve to identify, needs and, where appropiate, through the document correct aspects which could give rise to inequalities or discrimination".
