The City Council starts tonight the asphalting of the last section of Alfonso Puchades

20 March 2017
El Ayuntamiento inicia esta noche el asfaltado del último tramo de Alfonso Puchades

The works will last three days and will be done at night to affect the minimum traffic

Benidorm City Council will start tonight the asphalting of the last section of Alfonso Puchades avenue, the one between the Andalusia avenue and Juan Rodríguez street. The Councilor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, explained that the works of asphalt "will last three days and will be carried out at night to affect as little as possible to traffic." This way, the circulation will not be interrupted, since a passage will be enabled by one of the two causeways.

De Zárate recalled that this section of Alfonso Puchades "was the only one remaining pending," after improving last year the condition of the road in the rest of the avenue. The councillor clarified that "until now we had not been able to act at this point because we had to wait for the completion of the channeling work for the crossing of Alfonso Puchades with Orts Llorca", the well-known bend of 'Numbre 1'. With this channeling already executed, now we will proceed to fix the asphalt and paint the horizontal signage. In addition, it will also give continuity to the bike lane.

The asphalting of this stretch of avenue is valued at 60,447.18 euros. Once executed, the City Council will have renewed in a year and a half all the firm of an axis as important as that formed by Jaime I Avenue, El Cruce and Alfonso Puchades.
