The small square of the Castell has new lighting embedded in its balustrade that "is integrated perfectly with the structure of the same and that of the staircase that gives access to this enclave, one of the most picturesque and visited in Benidorm", as has noted the councilor for Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer.
This design, made by the Municipal Technical Services, “allows a much better view of the iconic wind rose on the floor of the small square and that indicates the 16 cardinal points and the main winds; the geographic references visible from this point; and local geographic, environmental or heritage landmarks; and next to which are also exhibited four references of autochthonous fauna very representative of Benidorm ”.
Pellicer recalled that "the installation of this wind rose, which gives an adds attraction to the already singular small square, is one of the improvements obtained by the City Council within the archaeological intervention project for the recovery and enhancement of our Castell ”.
The councillor added that "with the lighting installation, we complement the Castell's ornamental lighting, with which, in addition to enhancing the beauty of the environment, it has been possible to highlight the archaeological remains and the most interesting and significant geological elements."
