Passeig de Ponent
In this photo taken by Simeón Nogueroles in the 50’s, we can see how it was the place in that time, with its traditional white balustrade designed by the architects Carlos Ferrater, Xavier Martí Galí and OAB Study from Barcelona.
The design of the floor is the result of the Arab heritage and its colour represents a city of leisure. This place connects the city to the beach and it was thought for the walkers’ enjoyment.
The design of this promenade, opened in 2009, has been awarded with several prizes such as the Museum of Architecture and Design in Chicago, ASCER and FAD in 2010.
