Mirador Plaça Sant Jaume / Platja de Llevant
Levante beach was the first to experience these changes in the first half of the twentieth century, when swimming in the beach began to be fashion, reinforced by the arrival of the railroad.
The first hotels began to be built in this place, as well as the first "chalets" built by bourgeois families from Alcoy a nearby industrial town.
In this photograph we can remember those “chalets” that in time made way for the skyscrapers that now we can see.
