The councilors of Employment and Human Resources thank the participants for the work carried out during their training

The young people of Benidorm who have trained for a year with the 'T'Avalem' program receive their diplomas

Los jóvenes de Benidorm que se han formado durante un año con el programa ‘T’Avalem’ reciben sus diplomas acreditativos

The City Council is already working on a new edition, which will provide two training modalities focused on sustainability

This Monday, Benidorm City Council delivered the accreditation diplomas to the twenty young people who in the last year have been trained in administrative and gardening work within the 'T'Avalem Benidorm Jove' program, which officially ends tomorrow. The councillors of Employment and Local Promotion and Human Resources, Mónica Gómez and Ana Soliveres, participated in the delivery of diplomas that took place at Pepita Puchades Training Center while congratulating the participants and thanking them for the work they have carried out during this year of training. Likewise, they have conveyed their wishes that “all the training received this year will be very useful from now on for their entry into the labour market.”

The councillor of Employment has indicated that, in this edition, ten young people have been trained in 'Auxiliary operations of administrative and general services (code ADGG0408) and in 'Administrative activities in customer service (code ADGG0208), while the other ten have done so in 'Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centres' and in 'Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas'.
Mónica Gómez has stated that, to develop this project, “through LABORA, the City Council obtained a subsidy of 501,556.80 euros from the European Social Fund, which financed the hiring of the participating people and the teaching team that will be "has been in charge of their training." In addition, the program has had an additional contribution from the City Council of 60,000 euros.

Likewise, Mónica Gómez recalled that to participate as students/participants in 'T'Avalem Benidorm Jove', “in addition to being under 30 years of age, another requirement was to be registered as unemployed in the Youth Guarantee program and the job with the required training code.”

'T'Avalem' is a mixed employment and training program, by which students receive theoretical and practical training and carry out work of public interest, through a work contract with the City Council, applying everything they have learned. For this reason, the councillor of Employment has considered it "a great opportunity to improve your employability or expand your knowledge in a new speciality and, in addition, to have direct contact with the world of work."

Once this edition of the program is over, the Department of Employment and Local Promotion is working on the next edition of T'Avalem Benidorm Jove', after having obtained a new subsidy of 528,256.80 euros from the European Social Fund, through LABORA, which will be completed with a municipal contribution of 50,000 euros.

The Councilor for Employment has indicated that, in this case, "two training modalities linked to sustainability have been chosen", so that ten young people will be trained in 'Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers' (AGAO0108) and in 'Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas'; while the second group will do so in 'Environmental interpretation and education' (SEAG0109).
