The School Festival organized by the Local Association of Benidorm APAS has once again filled Benidorm Palace, whose stage hosted a total of 20 performances that counted with the participation of more than 300 children from 15 schools and colleges of Benidorm. A festival that has completed nineteen editions at the gala on Sunday and where the mayor, Toni Pérez, was present as well as members of the corporation; and the president of the APAS Local Association, Francisco Santamaría.
Toni Pérez stressed the importance of "an appointment for the educational community that every year is a successful participation and that has been for 19 years." For his part Francisco Santamaría thanked the "great assistance and collaboration of all to celebrate this gala, in which we share the effort of a year and enjoy all the performances."
The schools that performed at the gala were Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Mestre Gaspar López, Sierra Helada, Miguel Hernández, La Cala and Ausiàs March, Leonor Canalejas, Baudista Lledó, Puig Campana and Els Tolls; and Pere Mª Orts i Bosch, Beatriu Fajardo, L'Almadrava, Mediterrània and Bernat de Sarrià Secondary Schools, as well as the local artist Frank González, students of the Municipal Dance Conservatory, the Municipal School of Rhythmic Gymnastics, Grupo Expresiones de ASMIBE and members of AERBECO.
This year the benefits of the gala will go to AFEM (Association of Relatives of the Mentally Ill). Toni Pérez and Francisco Santamaría presented the AFEM president, María Consolación Muro, with the help obtained thanks to the attendees at the gala.
