Wody, an agile and intuitive platform that will make available to its users all the family leisure offer of Benidorm and those tourist destinations that bet on it, has been the winning initiative of the second AllStartup organized by the Department of Innovation and Employment, together with the incubator of technology companies, Demiun.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has been in charge of delivering the award that accredits the Wody team as the winner of this second AllStartup, in the last work session that took place this afternoon at the City Hall The Councilors for Employment, Mónica Gómez, and Innovation, Aida García Mayor and the Demium team have also attended: Javier Torregrosa, Jaime Guillot and Javier Desantes and the coordinator of the managing body DTI Benidorm, Celia Romero.
Toni Pérez has congratulated all the participants, winners or not. "We are - he said - all in the same boat." With initiatives like this "projects are explored, attracted and analyzed that can then be made viable through the Employment and Innovation departments". The mayor has congratulated himself because “in Benidorm there are very good people” who will be able to materialize their projects of emerging companies or ‘startups’ thanks to the collaboration with initiatives such as Demium.
Throughout the weekend, entrepreneurs and young people, have lived in Benidorm in a 'hackathon', or meeting of programmers, where five innovative projects have been presented, all in line with the strategy of the Smart Tourist Destination : Take my luggage, slogans; Green Sail Trip, nautical tourism and ecology; Meetme, group travel application; and RNR, sustainable tourism.
After 48 hours of living in a constant brainstorm, the jury has awarded Wody, although the team of this company will join the members of those who have not obtained the award to continue generating ideas that will be linked to the development of tourism in Benidorm from the 'Coworking' Space, the business incubator of the Department of Employment and Local Development.
