More than fifty people participate in El Torrejó in various talks that have revolved around the torrential rains
The Valencian Association of Meteorology holds its annual meeting in Benidorm
The Valencian Association of Meteorology (AVAMET) held its autumn meeting this Sunday in Benidorm, a meeting that brought together more than fifty experts and fans in this matter and was inaugurated by the Environment Councilor of the Consistory. The councilor welcomed all the participants and thanked them for choosing the tourist city as the venue for this meeting, in which top-level presentations were held, all of them about torrential rains.
The scientific journalist Vicente Aupí, the doctor in Geography Rafael Armengot, and the climatologist Javier Martín Vide have been in charge of the presentations planned in the program of this 'Trobada de la Tardor'. The first two addressed one in their talk 'A new aspect of the episode of the Tous swamp (1982)', while the second offered a presentation entitled 'Indices and pluviometric variables in the Spanish Mediterranean'.
The Councilor for Environment invited the participants to repeat future editions in Benidorm, either the one organized in spring or, as on this occasion, in autumn.
