Tramontana, popular music from La Mancha with roots in Benidorm
Tramontana Castilian-La Mancha Sociocultural Association of Benidorm has presented the edition of a compact disc that brings together 13 folk melodies from this Spanish region with strong ties to the Marina Baixa.
With the Municipal Assembly Hall adapted to the regulations imposed by the health authorities to prevent Covid-19, and with a maximum capacity reduced to 60 people, the rondalla of the association chaired by Honorio Fornier, performed the musical pieces that make up the disc. Among the public, and representing the City Council, the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and the Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez.
La Mancha folk music disc has been put on sale with a symbolic price of only five euros. "The objective - Manuel Palazón, of Tramuntana board of directors, pointed out - is not to earn money, it is to make La Mancha culture known and spread it."
