The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, attended this morning at the opening of the day on the benefits of photovoltaic self-consumption in the tourism sector organized by Hosbec and Cubierta Solar. The meeting convened in the auditorium of the Invattur, was attended by the president of Hosbec, Antonio Mayor, the director of Invattur, Francisco Juan Martínez, and numerous businessmen and professionals from the tourism sector. The current situation of the electricity market or the Ivace's aid programs for the promotion of the use of renewable energies are some of the issues to be addressed.
The mayor of Benidorm has expressed his support for this initiative of the tourism sector, aimed to continue betting on innovation and sustainability, underlining that this should be an effort shared by the private initiative and public institutions, "as Benidorm City Council is already doing, -he said-, through a framework agreement signed with the Provincial Council of Alicante so that all the electricity consumed by the City Council, public lighting or municipal buildings, is 100% renewable, reducing to zero CO2 emissions.
