Benidorm Town Hall will host a new concert in the Great Recitals cycle tomorrow, Friday 7th March, featuring Maresía Dúo, a group made up of the young Carla Gómez Pertusa on piano and Laura Vidal Climent on cello.
The event will begin at 8 pm and entrance will be free until the venue is full. The programme prepared for the occasion will feature several pieces by Frederic Chopin. Thus, the audience will hear the works ‘Nocturne’ in E flat Major (Opus 9, Number 2), ‘Sonata’ in G Minor (Opus 65 for cello and piano), ‘Prelude’ in A Minor (Opus 28 Number 4), ‘Nocturne’ in F Minor (Opus 55 Number 1), ‘Introduction and Brilliant Polonaise’ (Opus 3), ‘Etude’ (Opus 25 Number 10) and ‘Waltz’ (Opus 64 Number 3).
Laura Vidal, born in Benidorm, and Carla Gómez, born in Alicante, are two young musicians who have studied at the Conservatory of Music in Alicante and also in Europe in places such as Bari, Warsaw and Ghent. Apart from being performers with a great career as soloists and orchestrators, both are united by a passion for chamber music, which led them to found this duo in 2019. Together they offer concerts with a very versatile chamber music repertoire from the 18th century to the present day.
