Three short films to make visible and denounce violence against women
Following the activities scheduled for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Department of Equality, which runs Paquita Ripoll, organized last Friday in the Assembly Hall of the City Council a film forum to make visible this social scourge that year it has claimed 44 victims. After the screening of the short films 'El paraguas de colores' by Eduardo Cardoso -gogo del Goya-, 'Conversa cunha muller morta' by Sonia Méndez, and 'El orden de las cosas' by José Esteban and César Alenda, the attendees held a debate -coloquio in which audiovisual producer Beatriz Martínez López and Lydia Sellés, expert in equality policies participated.
The events of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in Benidorm have continued today with two events organized by the Neighborhood Association of Els Tolls, and culminate tomorrow with the Reading of a Manifesto and subsequent March against gender violence organized by the Association of Housewives. The event is scheduled at 18.00 at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España.
