Thousands of people witness the Pride parade in the streets of Benidorm despite the rain
After the most crowded Parade of the recent years, the party has moved to the auditorium Julio Iglesias and the entertainment venues of the city
Thousands of people have witnessed this afternoon in the streets of Benidorm Pride parade despite the rain, which broke out when the Parade had not yet completed half of its journey. The floats, platforms and trailer heads have left Rincón de Loix shortly after 17.00. The large number of spectators stationed on the first line of the beach of Levante have made the parade advance slowly along the promenade.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, and Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, have followed the parade of this seventh edition of Pride, the most multitudinous of recent years and once again has filled Benidorm with color and music to claim the real equality for the LGBTI collective.
Around 20.00, participants in the Parade and part of the public that has followed the passage of the particular caravan of Pride have concentrated in the auditorium Julio Iglesias in l'Aigüera Park for the Main Stage. After midnight, it is planned that the party will be transferred to the leisure venues of the city.
After a week of activities, Benidorm Pride says goodbye on Sunday, September 10, with the Superman by Supermartxé party in Bilbao street, thus closing the European Pride calendar.
