Los alumnos del Conservatorio de Música de Benidorm felicitan las fiestas con su Concert de Nadal

The auditorium of the Cultural Centre hosted the traditional Christmas Concert, offered by students of the José Pérez Barceló Municipal Professional Music Conservatory to celebrate the holiday season.

More than 200 people, including friends and family of the musicians and residents, enjoyed the event. Among those in attendance were the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, other members of the municipal council, and the conservatory's director, Raúl Mahiques.

The 5th and 6th year Professional Studies Choir opened the recital with ‘1492 The Conquest of Paradise’ by Evangelos Odyseas, Vangelis. Following this, the 3rd and 4th year voices and the Professional Studies String Orchestra continued with ‘Signore delle Cime’ by Bepi di Marzi. Next, the orchestra, performing solo, played Antonio Vivaldi's 'Sinfonia alla Rustica' and Peter Warlock's 'Suite Capirol'. All of this was under the direction of Professor Julia Roca.

Following this, the Elementary School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Professor Manuel Cordero, performed John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie's 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' and Édith Piaf's 'La Vie en Rose'.

Finally, the 1st and 2nd year Elementary School Wind and Percussion Orchestra played Franco Cesarini's 'Greek Folk Song Suite', and the 3rd through 6th year orchestra played Darius Cesarini's 'Suite Française', both under the direction of their conductor and teacher, Felipe Juan Lanuza.
