Last Tuesday, in the first match, José Lana's men defeated the Swiss with three goals scored by Paco Esteban, twice, and Iván Heredia. Full of victories for those of Lana who assumed the maximum responsibility of the Sub 16 just over a week ago.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, together with the councillor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros and the mayor of Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez, have witnessed the match, which was also attended by the vice president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Enrique Ortola; the president of the Football Federation of the Valencian Community (FFCV), Salvador Gomar; and the delegate in Alicante, Damián López.

Among the public, those responsible for the Under 19 teams, Julen Guerrero, and Under 17, Santi Denia, who have observed the evolution of the young promises of Spanish football, valued the inclusion of some players in the categories they train and the sports facilities from the city.

After the meeting, Mariló Cebreros pointed out that "Benidorm will continue to host the Spanish teams" of football and other sports "for its sports facilities and the services it offers." The person in charge of Sports announced that the next appointment will be on March 2 with a friendly match between the under 17 women's soccer teams of Spain and the Netherlands "also at Guillermo Amor football field".
