The individual prize was for 'Una boda de muerte'
'Sopa de Caracol' stands with the first prize of the Carnival parade in which more than a thousand people participated in both days
Despite the chilly night, almost a thousand people participated in the night of Saturday in the carnival parade of Benidorm, organized by the Association of Penyes Verge del Sofratge and who toured several streets in the city center to finish at Plaza of SS MM los Reyes de España.
From 9:30 in the evening, about 75 groups and more than a dozen in individual category, staged a multitudinous parade, which filled the tour with color and a lot of sense of humor, led by the queen of the Fiestas and her court of honor, accompanied by members of the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals 2018.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the councillor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; as well as several members of the municipal corporation attended the parade, conveniently disguised for the occasion, being the ones in charge of later awarding the prizes to the winners, together with the queen, Fátima Carrobles, the president of the Comissió de Festes, Paco Marín and the president of the Penyes Association, Dani Luque.
The winners were in the individual category 'Una boda de muerte', 'Fantasía' and 'La revista Llig-me si pots'.
In the category of groups 'Sopa de Caracol' won the first prize, the second was for' Marilyn Top Art ', the third for the children's series 'La Vuelta al Mundo n 80 Days', the fourth for 'El Jardín de la Alegría', the fifth prize was at the hands of' Mojicarnavaleras', the sixth for the costume 'Ramos de Rosas' and the seventh for the 'Reyes de laGalaxia' and the last one was for 'Forestal vuelve a Benidorm'.
Children's Carnival
In the morning the Children's Carnival took place with the participation of more than 700 young people, as well as the children's queen Anna Calbo and her honor court.
In the group category the winner was 'España y Olé', the second place was for 'Al agua pato' and the third for 'Moteros'.
In the individual category the winner was the disguise 'Muñeca de cuerda', the second prize went to 'La reina de las hadas de Primavera' and the third prize went to 'La expedición Alaska'.
