Solidary market and realase of balloons to commemorate in Benidorm the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the councilwoman of Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca; as well as several councilors of the municipal corporation of Benidorm have accompanied this morning representatives of different associations of disabled in the act of releasing balloons to commemorate the International Day of People with Disabilities, which takes place tomorrow December 3.
The event was held in Parque de Elche, where solidarity stalls have been installed selling handicrafts from Benidorm's different associations: Asmibe, Tapis, Afem, Aerbeco, Afa Marina Baixa and Doble Amor. Alicante Ahedysia and the Occupational Center Hoya de Relleu.
After a few words of thanks to the assistants, the president of Asmibe, Mª Agripina Fernández, the councilwoman of Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca, was in charge of reading a manifesto in which the group of disabled people claims a more accessible society as well as compliance with all rights of universal accessibility.
