The service 'GreenLine' of Benidorm City Council has solved more than 2,850 incidents since its implementation
More than 2,850 incidents have been solved by Benidorm City Council with the 'Línea Verde' service since its implementation, a municipal service that allows citizens to notify any incident through an 'app' installed on their mobile device.
“With this service, residents have a direct channel of communication with the City Council to report any damage found in the municipality. In addition, it favours the use of good environmental practices and, therefore, the development of a sustainable municipality" explained the Councilor for the Environment Mónica Gómez, who highlighted the "great acceptance" of the service among the residents.
The type of incidents that have been reported are above all those that refer to sidewalks and roads (27%), cleaning (15%), parks and gardens (8%), traffic (5%), the environment (4%), citizen security (45), water and sewage (3%9, signage (3%) and beaches (2%).
Gómez has highlighted the "great satisfaction" of the City Council for the results obtained and has thanked "citizenship participation for their involvement and interest in their municipality."
To use this service it is necessary to download the Green Line app. To do this, users access Google Play or the Apple Store depending on the technology used in their Smartphone (Android/iOS). Once located, the download is carried out for free. From that moment, users select the municipality where they want to report the incident. The procedure is very fast and simple.
To report an incident, simply click on the "New Incident" button. A dropdown with the different types of incidents appears on the screen. The user selects the one about which he wants to communicate. Automatically, the application detects the exact coordinates where the fault is located. The next step is to attach a photo of the incident and observation about it. Then they have to press send button and the City Council staff receive notification of the reported damage.
From this moment, the procedures are initiated to solve the incident detected. The citizen, in turn, receives a notification on his/her mobile phone whenever there is a change in the incident reported.
Through Línea Verde, the user can also raise any environmental query through the option “Make your query”. Within a maximum period of 24 hours, you will have a response from a team of experts in the field completely free of charge.
The GreenLine service can also be accessed through www.lineaverdebenidorm.com. In addition to reporting an incident or making a query, the user has a wide range of environmental query content (good practice guide, advice, information from the municipality, etc...). GreenLine also offers its services by calling 902 193 768 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Through this service, the user who requests it can receive informative communications issued by the City Council. You can also consult the main points of interest that are located in the municipality and information about them.
