The EMCORP Employment Development Program, which has just been completed and was fully subsidized by the Valencian Employment and Training Service (Servef), has allowed the City Council to hire four unemployed people for just over four months. These workers have worked as Information Services Assistants, covering the needs of the City Council in administrative areas and information to the citizen.
For the recruitment of these four people, the City Council received a grant of 33,443 euros which have been earmarked to cover the salary and social security costs of the workers hired.
The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mª Jesus Pinto, has indicated that through their participation in the program the four workers "have acquired professional experience, which improves their levels of employability." Pinto has stressed that "promoting employment, job placement of unemployed people and improving the training and experience of jobseekers are the objectives of this collaboration between the City Council and the Servef.
