Arranca la segunda edición del Boot Camp Surfea sobre sistemas de trabajo del DTI Benidorm

This Monday, El Torrejó Municipal Building hosted the first day of the second edition of  Surfea DTI Benidorm Boot Camp on Sustainable Smart Governance, the format chosen by Smart Tourism for its summer school.

Its purpose is to recreate a practical learning environment about real daily work situations in a smart tourist destination like Benidorm, aimed at sector professionals involved in the development and implementation of the DTI. The councillor of Innovation, Aída García Mayor, has participated in the inauguration of this event, which will continue until next Wednesday with “keynote conferences, interactive workshops, and collaboration sessions” in which participants will be able to “design solutions for the construction of a smarter, more sustainable and more connected Benidorm, which continues to be a leading tourist destination in the world”, as the councilor has highlighted.

“We are gathered here today not only as individuals but as agents of change, as innovators and defenders of a smarter, sustainable, and exciting future for Benidorm and for tourism in general,” said the head of Innovation in her welcome to the participants. In addition, he highlighted the contents that will be addressed in the second edition of this event, among them “the importance of semantics, common standards in data collection, information management and the interoperability of technological solutions.”.

Aída García Mayor also recalled that “last year's conclusions show us the progress we have made, but they also remind us that there is still much to do. Smart governance is a continuous process, and it is our commitment to continue moving forward together towards an intelligent, regenerative, and circular Benidorm,” added the councilor, who also thanked all the sponsors for their collaboration and was confident that this second edition of Boot Camp Surfea DTI in Benidorm is “an opportunity to connect, learn and act. I hope that we all make the most of this experience and leave here with innovative ideas and concrete solutions for the future of Benidorm.”

The themes chosen for the development of this professional meeting correspond to subjects directly linked to Benidorm Show Case, transformed into challenges: standardization, data sharing space, 360 visibility, and tourist intelligence, to which three new challenges are added this year: artificial intelligence, intelligent national destination platform, and regenerative tourism. All of these proposals will be able to be aligned with actions to be carried out in the five strategic axes on which the destination is working: governance, sustainability, accessibility, innovation, and technology, with sessions that will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. hours, between today and next Wednesday, September 13.

The team of trainers has high-level professionals, from organizations such as UNE Standards, Segittur, ICTE, Hosbec, Iurban, Ocity, UPV campus Gandía, Ciclops DTI, Smart Tourism, Deepsense, PRedif, Eviden by ATOS, Fi group.
