The recital-conference 'Un viaje por los sentidos' captivates the public at the Cultural Center

The multipurpose room of Benidorm Cultural Center hosted the conference concert 'Music: A journey through the senses' on Friday afternoon, organized by the La Nova Musical Society. Gema Martínez Navarrete, Francisco José Fernández, and María Eugenia Palomares delighted the public with a selection of works and a scientific explanation of the functioning of the five senses of the human being.

The Councilors of Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and of the Presidency, Juan Díaz, accompanied SM La Nova in this event, small in format but aroused applause from the public on several occasions.

After this first appetizer, the Societat Musical La Nova will offer tomorrow, Sunday, a concert in which the Colla de Dolçainers i Tabaleters 'Els Valerios' from La Vila Joiosa will also participate and which is part of the Intercanvis Musicals campaign sponsored by the Valencian Generalitat. The concert is scheduled for noon in the Cultural Center auditorium and will be divided into two parts: the first, by the Colla, directed by Fernando Fernández; and the second, performed by the Benidorm band under the baton of Francisco José Rovira.

Thus, in the first part, ‘Dolça Obertura’, by Germán Estévez, will be played to the rhythm of dolçaina and tabalet; 'Lluis El Moll', by Pasqual Salort; 'Manises', by Antoni de la Asunción; and 'Linga Oba', by Saül Gómez. In the second part, it will be the turn of SM La Nova with the piece of music 'Villena', by Pasqual Marquina; the symphonic print ‘Valencianía’ by Salvador Chuliá; the pasodoble ‘Andrés Contrabandista’ by Óscar Navarro; the Moorish march 'Als berbers', by José Pérez Vilaplana; and the pasodoble 'Pascual Pérez, Pascualet', signed by the band director.

In addition, La Nova and Colla 'Els Valerios' will share the stage to perform 'De Quiroa a Séneca-Autobusos', by Miguel Ángel Mas; and 'Muixerangues al cel', composed by Juan Carlos Sempere.
