The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has received this afternoon the Governing Board of the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture (RACV), headed by his dean, Federico Martínez Roda. Among the academics it was his treasurer, Antonio Magraner from Benidorm. The rector of the University of Alicante, Antonio Gil Olcina, was also present at the meeting. Next, all of them has met in the municipal offices.
The RACV will present this afternoon, at 8:00 p.m., in the City Council, the conference 'Alicante in the War of Cuba (1895-1898)', in collaboration with the Opinion Club, in charge of the scholar and Doctor in History and Engineering, Enrique de Miguel Ferrández-Carranza, from the Military History Research Group of the RACV.
The Royal Academy of Valencian Culture is an entity that is dedicated to research, develop and promotion of the culture of the Valencian Community and to the defense of the values and hallmarks of the Valencian people.
