Public schools and the state - funded school receive 479 applications for Children of 3 years
In two public centers and in the stated school the demand exceeds the offer and a scale will have to be used to allocate the places

The thirteen public schools and the state school of Benidorm have received 479 requests for Chidren Education of 3 years during the period of admission for the academic course 2017/2018, that finalized last Thursday. The volume of applications received accounted for 84.33% of the 575 vacancies offered for this course, in which the number of available positions has increased by 25 when a new 3-year-old classroom was abolished in Puig Campana .
The mayor and head of Education, Toni Pérez, has reported that this number of applications hardly varies from the previous course -479 compared to 489-, and has detailed that the demand in the state center and in two public schools has exceeded the offer, so they have to use different formulas to allocate the places. Students who are left without a school post in these centers will be referred to other schools based on the preferences they marked on their application.
In all the centers supported by public funds, the ratio for 3-year-old children is fixed by the Ministry of Education in 25 students per classroom, except in the Gabriel Miró school, where it is reduced to 18 because it is a unique educational action center (CAES).
In the same period of admission for children of 2nd cycle and Primary, the application process has also been made for the three classrooms of 2-year-old infants implanted by the Conselleria in the schools Puig Campana, Aitana and Vasco Núñez de Balboa. These are 54 places - 18 per classroom - which add to the 180 of the municipal network offered in the three schools for children - Fontanelles, Les Caletes and El Tossalet - and the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) Nanets.
In total 78 applications have been processed for the three P2 classrooms. Two of the schools will have to negotiate the applications to award the places, as more requests have been received than positions offered.
The mayor reminded the families that next Thursday, June 8, provisional lists of admissions are published on the bulletin board of each school. Until Monday, June 12, there is a deadline to claim before the School Board of the center, and on the 20th will be published the final lists of admitted students. Any claim to these definitive lists must be made until the next day before the Municipal Commission of Schooling. From June 20 to 29 will be the time to formalize the registration, and if this process is not fulfilled you can miss the place.
