Presented the book of Festes Majors Patronals, 300 pages that summarize a whole year of work

This morning the Official Book of Festes Majors Patronals of 2019 has been presented in the Assembly Hall of Benidorm. A 300-page compendium that summarizes a whole year of work of the Commission chaired by Roberto Carretero.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús carboles; and other members of the municipal corporation, have participated in an act in which they have also attended the deputy for Alicante, Agustín Almodóbar; the queens, Marina Carrillo and Paula Mayor, along with their courts of honor; the honorary president in perpetuity of the Comissió, Francisco Llorens, ‘Paco Rosera’; Peñistas and the president of the Assocació de Penyes, Coly Pérez, mayorales, mayoral de honor, banderero and family, collaborators of the book and neighbors.

The book, full of images, gathers the activities of the Comissió, the program of acts and literary collaborations on the traditions, history and culture of Benidorm. A document, said Toni Pérez “notary of everything that has happened throughout the year”, full of stories “that recall past moments of Benidorm” and also “the academic and proven manifestation of who we are and where we come from, that it is the best basis to know what we want to continue being ”.

In the compendium, in addition to intruding the reader into the world of the party, you can read articles about gastronomy, traditions, toponymy, speech and language. "That," stressed the mayor, "that makes us different," a party book turned into "space to recognize ourselves and still do better. Toni Pérez has congratulated the Comissió for the “excellent work and the excellent edition” and reminded the attendees that “in a little less than a week, with the flipping of bells, Benidorm will return to live its big holidays”.
