Presentation of the Strategic Plan of Accessible Tourism of the Comunitat Valenciana
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilor of Urbanism, Lourdes Caselles, have attended this morning at the Invat.tur (Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies) to the presentation of the Strategic Plan for Accessible Tourism and the Guide for Accessible Tourism Experiences of the Comunitat Valenciana, made by Predif (State representative platform for the physically disabled). The presentation was given by the Director General of Tourism, Raquel Huete and Francesc Colomer, Secretary of the Valencian Tourism Agency, in addition to the delegates of Predif: Pepe Balaguer, Tatiana Alemany and Luigi Leporiere.
Last January, in the framework of the International Tourism Fair of Madrid, Fitur, the City Council of Benidorm and Predif, already signed an agreement to position Benidorm as "the most accessible tourist destination of sun and beach in Spain." The mayor and delegate of Tourism, Toni Pérez, stressed that "to make Benidorm the leading destination in accessible tourism, the City Council and Predif are going to develop the First Plan for Tourist Accessibility of Benidorm, through which" are going to boost initiatives, programs, projects and actions aimed at improving the accessibility conditions of the city's tourist environments, products and services.
