Peña Equisdé won last night the first prize in the contest organized by the Adult Playback Association Virgen del Sufragio, the department of Fiestas and Megahertz Group and held in the auditorium Julio Iglesias in L'Aigüera Park. 'The King Lion' earned 1,000 euros, the first prize. Although initially the contest had with five awards, the Association decided to award a sixth-valued at 100 euros, so that all participating received a prize. The second, 600 euros, went to the Peña 'Ni pa tu ni pa mi'with his 'Rihanna Crazy Dance'; while the Peñas 'Tot Previst' and 'Ompli el got', which acted together in 'Dark Horse', achieved the third position and 400 euros. The 'Sax on the beach' perofrmed by 'Cercavila' and 'Arredéu Manolet' won the fourth prize -of 300 euros; Desbarats took the fifth prize, 200 euros with its 'King of Africa'; Peña 'Parotet' received the sixth prize with 'Miss Marina Baixa'. The awards ceremony of the contest was attended by the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; the president of the Association of Peñas, Mariló Cebreros; the president of the Fiestas Committee, Manuel Agüera; and the queens of Benidorm, Beatriz Amor and Paula González de Zárate. In addition Gymkhana prizes were also delivered, which this year was organized by Peña Equisdé and was developed in the morning. Peña La Foscor was the winner of the test, with 300 euros. Peñas El Tró and Ni pa tu ni pa mi achieved second and third place in the test, which next year the winner Peña, La Foscor will have to organize the gymkhana.
