Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm hosted this Saturday for the third consecutive year one of the most important and emotional events of the festive atmosphere of the city: the coronation of the queens of its Major Festivities, the child Paula Mayor Amillo, and the young girl Marina Carrillo Sanz , since today have become the maximum festeras representatives of Benidorm, in a ceremony that brought together more than fifteen hundred people.

The patronesses Carla and Domingo were in charge of presenting the event, beginning with the presence of its president Roberto Carretero Sánchez, the banner of the commission carried by the honorary president Francisco Llorens Orts and the standard-bearer José Ramón Francés Almiñana.

Later the thirteen new litlle ladies and sixteen young ladies who make up the Courts of Honor were up on stage accompanied by their families, being presented together with the future queens, who came under the arms of their respective relatives, his grandfather Vicente Sanz and his brother Joan Vicent Mayor.

The Children and Senior Queens of 2018, Anna Calbo García and Fátima Carrobles Espinosa, as well as their respective Courts of Honor put an end to a year of reign and in which both had words of thanks to both the previous commissions and associations of fiestas, as to family and friends. The councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles gave the queens of 2018 a replica of their crowns.

After the transfer of symbols, Paula Mayor Amillo received the sash, the cape and the crown from her predecessor Anna Calbo García, as well as Marina Carrillo Sanz at the hands of Fátima Carrobles Espinosa as the Major Queen.

Once crowned, it was the turn for the chairwomen of the act, which this year fell to Carmina Llinares Tortosa and Lourdes Mayor Vidal, two people closely linked to the Major Patron Festivities and who narrated their experiences in the first person.

After finalizing its speech, the mayor of the city Toni Perez delivered the golden badge to the mantenedoras of the act. This in turn received from the president of the Commission, Roberto Carretero, also the gold badge of the 2019 Commission.

The mayor Toni Pérez closed the ceremony giving congratulations to the new queens and thanking the queens of 2018 for the magnificent reign they have displayed representing the city. The new queens received tribute from festive entities and associations of Benidorm.
