This morning, with start and finish in Benidorm, the sixth stage of thirty-second edition of the Volta Ciclista a la Marina, organized by Unión Ciclista, has been celebrated. The runners have taken eight laps to a circuit of 7.3 km with start and finish at Avenida de Vicente Llorca Alós, on Paseo de Poniente.

The first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, together with the Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, and the person responsible for Major Events, José Ramón González de Zárate, shortly before 10 am have cut the ribbon announcing the beginning of the stage that has been won by Paul Double, with a time of 1 hour, 32 minutes and 22 seconds. After him the finish has been reached by Tuur Deprez, Nic Mckibbin and the first Spaniard, Álvaro Arenas. It has been a fast stage, carried out under fine rain in some sections without noticeable incidents.

In the Master 50 category, José Rosalén arrived first, after him Salvador Segura. In Master 40, Antonio Sabater, Francisco Ruiz and David Fajardo. In Master 30, Javier Almela, Jaime Esteban and Jesús Gómez. In Elite-Sub23-Junior, Paul Double, Álvaro Arenas and Miquel López. The general classification continues being led by Moisés Espinós, who also heads the classifications of Mountain, Metas volantes and Primer Alicantino.
