Until July 7, the Cultural Center will host free concerts until full capacity
Pablo Mor opens the International Music Course with a marimba concert
The winner of the twenty-third edition of the International Music Competition in the marimba modality, Pablo Mor, has opened the XXXIV International Music Course that will take place until Friday, July 7, at the Cultural Center, with free admission to the public until full capacity.
After 9:00 p.m., the marimbist played 'Prelude in Gb Major' by Pius Cheung, followed by, 'Reminiscence', by Toshio Hosokawa; 'Toccata', by Anna Ignatowicz-Glinska; 'Merlin', by Andrew Thomas; ‘Venezuelan Waltzes, by Antonio Laura with arrangements by Eva Català; and 'One Study One Summary', by John Psathas.
Today, Monday, classes have started and tonight, at 9:00 p.m., there will be a concert with Michal Dmachowski (cello), Graham Jackson (piano), Süvva Fatkulin (violin), and Liza Yaroshinskaia (piano).
On Tuesday the 4th it will be the turn of Ángel Sanzo (piano) and Conrado Maya (marimba). On Wednesday the final of the music contest will be held and that same day the jury's decision will be announced. On Thursday the 6th the concert of the students of the International Course will be held and on Friday the 7th the concert of the winner of the Contest. There will also be a concert by Luis González (trumpet), Pepe Gallego (piano), Mariano García (saxophone), and Takahiro Mita (piano).
