No incidents at the start of the election day

Sin incidencias en el arranque de la jornada electoral

The election day has begun this Sunday without significant incidents in the 16 electoral colleges of Benidorm. According to the first advance of participation published by the Ministry of the Interior, at 14.00 hours had exercised their right to vote 38.58% of the 41,857 voters summoned to the polls in the national and regional elections, 2.2% more than in November 2016.

The following participation percentage will be announced at 6:00 p.m. Two hours later they will close the 78 electoral tables of Benidorm, one more than in the last national elections.

With respect to those elections, there has been a change of electoral college in Benidorm. Specifically, the old headquarters of Casa Andalucía, at 33 Maravall street, has once again become an electoral college to replace the Administrative Extension of Lemons, which ceased to be operational at the end of 2017.

The table with the largest number of electors (800 people) is located in Bautista Lledó public school, and that of minor (342 voters), in Leonor Canalejas public school.

Although the Census Office has sent census cards indicating each citizen where they vote and which is their table, the City Council has enabled an information telephone number for this election day: 96 585 87 78. It is also possible to communicate directly with the Census Office on 901 101 900. The administrative extension of Colonia Madrid, located on Avenida Beniardá 17, will remain open during the election day to answer questions and incidents related to the census.
