This afternoon, the parish church of La Almudena hosted the second day of the Triduum celebrated by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Rocío in Benidorm, with the recitation of the rosary and a subsequent Mass during which the new members were sworn in.
The event was attended by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and other councillors of the Municipality, as well as the regional representative, José Ramón González de Zárate, who supported the president of the brotherhood, Jesús Malumbres, on this day. Also present were the president of the Commission of Major Patronal Festivities, Susana Martínez; the president of the Association of Verge del Sofatge Penyes, Jonathan López; and the queens, Paula Pascual and Aitana Pérez.
The main proclamation was then read by the member of the Brotherhood, Antonio Sola, and, afterwards, the Brotherhood invited those attending to a glass of wine.
The Triduum celebrations in Benidorm will continue on Sunday, with the presentation of the poster and signing of the Book of Rules at the Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna, the pilgrimage to La Almudena, and the subsequent day of fellowship.
