Nearly 450 people support Doble Amor centre in its IV Cross Country Solidarity Cross
Nearly 450 people have supported Doble Amor today in its IV Solidarity Cross Country that has been developed in El Moralet Park, with the collaboration of the Department of Sports and the Benidorm Athletics Club. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros; and Juan Manuel López, director of Doble Amor, was in charge of giving the start of the test, which included children's races and the modalities of hikers and Nordic walking.
Juanan Fernández from Benidorm Athletics Club, was the fastest to cover the 8 kilometers of the cross-country circuit with a time of 31:25 minutes. Just a second later, Rubén Caballero crossed the finish line. Next, Alberto Alameda, Joel Montiel, and Ángel López did it.
In the female category, the first position of the podium was for Saveria Ottavi, with a time of 42:10. Mª Carmen García signed the second best time, and the local Celia de Diego the third. Behind them, Yolanda Sendra and Elena Orozco.
The Gladiators Club, for its part, signed the largest participation.
Once the cross was over, it was time for the children's races. Nearly a hundred children up to 15 years of age participated, covering different distances depending on their age.
The mayor and several local government councilors awarded the prizes for the different categories of the race together with the students of Doble Amor occupational center, who also participated in this IV Solidarity Cross.
