The municipal pool of Foietes will open in the morning and afternoon from next Monday
The municipal pool of Foietes, located in Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor, will open in the morning and afternoon from next Monday, July 2, once the lifeguard service is awarded, as reported today by the Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo This installation will be attended at all times by three lifeguards: two in the big pool and one in the small one.
The councillor explained that "from day 2, from Monday to Friday the pool will continue hosting the municipal sports courses in the mornings, and from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm it will be open to the general public". During the weekend, the opening hours for all users will be from 12:00 to 20:00. He also clarified that clubs and sports entities that have an agreement with the City Council to use and dispose of the facilities "may do so without problem under the terms and conditions set in these agreements."
Cabrillo indicated that "because the opening of the pool has been delayed two weeks on the date we had originally set to start the activity, we decided to extend the opening of this facility until the end of September." In this way, "we will consume the 1,626 service hours set in the lifeguard contract and compensate users for the 15 days they have not been able to enjoy the facilities."
The person in charge of Sports informed that the swimming pool will be operative all the summer "except punctually by the celebration of events" in the Sport City Guillermo Amor. Cabrillo advanced that the week from the 23 to the 29 of July ", the installation will be closed" the assembly and celebration of the Low Festival ", although he recalled that" in the last two years, and unlike what happened in previous editions, the activity of the Low Festival only changes the operation of the pool by a week ". After this event, the pool will reopen once the City Council certifies that the water and facilities meet all the hygienic and sanitary parameters established by the regulations.
