'Muévete con Anémona' meets thousands of people in Benidorm in the solidary march

21 October 2018
'Muévete con Anémona' concentra a miles de personas en Benidorm en la marcha solidaria

This morning, at 10.00 am, the XVI Solidarity March 'Muévete con Anémona' was organized by Anémona Marina Baixa (Self-Help Group of Women with Breast Cancer) that has brought together, in some sections, more than 3,000 citizens. An authentic 'pink tide' has covered the approximately 10 km of the route that began in the Plaza de Sus Majestades the Kings of Spain, walked the Paseo de Poniente to Tamarindos and retraced its steps to Levante to finish on the Avenida de Bilbao

The march has been lived in a festive atmosphere to which spontaneous applause has been added from the terraces and balconies of many of the people who enjoyed an almost summer morning in Benidorm, after the last rains. On this occasion, and as usual, the batucada band 'Sonats' has been incorporated, which has marked the rhythm to the stage, installed on Bilbao Avenue where, in addition, there was a bar to regain strength and enjoy the paella and sandwiches at popular prices by the Associació de Penyes. Once there all the attendees could enjoy a session of Zumba taught by Jessica Expósito and Fabi Torres for two hours.

Among the participants, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the mayor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll and many representatives of all the municipal groups. There has also been a large representation of the associative and festive movement, such as the president of the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals, Francisco Marín, the president of the Penyes Association, Daniel Luque and the queens, Fátima Carrobles Espinosa and Anna Calbo García.

Toni Pérez highlighted the great "success of participation and involvement of the whole society" and the "good atmosphere" that has been experienced throughout the whole journey of this sixteenth edition of the Anemone Solidarity March.
