The second edition of the campaign to promote the legal offer of tourist holiday homes and their regulation has been presented in Benidorm, which has been attended by the regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, and the president of the Spanish Federation of Tourism Associations. Homes and Tourist Apartments FEVITUR, Patricia Valenzuela. The councilor for Urbanism and Housing, Lourdes Caselles, has welcomed the city, and has pointed out the urban work of the City of Benidorm in this key piece for our tourism model as tourist housing, traditionally very incardinated in the chain of value of tourism.

Caselles stressed that the municipalities collaborate administratively, "and the Benidorm has already processed more than a thousand certificates of urban compatibility, once the law is amended." The General Plan of Urban Planning admitted this compatibility of uses and the City Council, consequently, has processed the licenses "because the owners are proving to be the first interested in doing things well".

But, at the same time, Caselles pointed out, "in low-density residential areas, unfavorable opinions have been issued because this is also what the General Plan indicates." It has also recognized the work and effort of the managers and individuals who legalize their activity and has encouraged the choice, when opting for housing in tourist housing, regulated housing.

The objective of the campaign is to comply with the law and enable a standardized and regulated activity.

At the presentation ceremony of the campaign, the president of APTUR, Miguel Ángel Sotillos, thanked the City Council for its work in the certifying field and gave way to the president of FEVITUR, who explained the main features of the new campaign, highlighting that "Doing things well is one more attraction of the tourist destinations of the Valencian Community" where the Federation has five associations. The campaign will have presentations before the EHHA European Federation, the National Congress of Tourist Housing and the London WorldTravelMarket.

Francesc Colomer, at the closing ceremony, pointed out the success of the campaign in 2018 and the good moment in which 2019 begins, with special mention to the meaning of the current one - "Welldone, Welcome" - "because things well done are always welcome and in this way we fight the intrusion and make pedagogy of the positive message ".
