More than 8,000 people visit the municipal open market on the first day of reopening of the textile and footwear
More than 8,000 people have visited, until 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, the municipal open market of Foietes, according to the Department of Commerce, on the first day that textile, footwear and non-essential products in a day in which normality has been the dominant note.
The distribution of the market has returned to its traditional structure with the textile stalls in the usual place. In total, a hundred long stalls of the 232 that have room in the enclosure have been staked, although, in application of the extraordinary safety measures, determined by the health authorities, the space has been distributed, as it was done in the reopening of the market in July, to increase the protection distance.
Among the safety measures implemented by the City Council, the installation of three checkpoints at the entrance and exit of the enclosure stands out, all perimeter and signposted. All equipped with automatic hydroalcoholic gel dispensers and security personnel. In addition, the technical services of the Department of Commerce have remained throughout the day addressing the issues that both merchants and users have raised about the expansion of the reopening.
Also, in terms of security, the private security service of the Department has been maintained and agents of the Local and National police, as always, have ensured compliance with the safety and health regulations.
Today it has been the turn of the stalls with even numbers, next Wednesday, it will be the odd ones. The distribution responds to the adjustments made in the local Covid-19 Emergency Plan to allow the development of this commercial activity and that merchants and users can return, little by little, to normality.
