The Mayoress of Gijón Carmen Moriyón closes the First Contest of Cider of Asturias celebrated in Benidorm
This noon was the end of the First Contest of Cider of Asturias that has been held throughout the weekend in Park of Elche, where thousands of residents, tourists and Asturian people have enjoyed the best Asturian gastronomy, and specifically the cider, thanks to the organization of Casa de Asturias of Marina Baixa.
The one in charge of closing this first contest was the mayoress of Gijón, Carmen Moriyón, who highlighted "the magnificent organization of this event and to promote a typical Asturian product, in its best version, such as cider, in an incomparable setting. Benidorm, place of destination for many Asturian people ".
Accompanied by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez and the councilors of Fiestas of both cities, Jesús Martínez and Jesús Carrobles, and other members of Casa de Asturias and the municipal corporation, have toured each of the stalls installed to taste the different ciders, under the watchful eye of the participants 'llagares', belonging to the Regulating Council of Cider of Asturias.
