The mayor receives Álvaro Cánovas, new FIFA beach soccer referee form Benidorm
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, received this midday in the Mayor's office the young referee Álvaro Cánovas García-Villarubia form Benidorm, who has been one of the eight referees chosen in the Valencian Community to be part of the Course of Talents and Mentors that organizes the Technical Committee of Referees.
This season he has achieved promotion to the RFEF 2nd Division category with number 1 in his class and is a member of the FIFA beach soccer referee courses held at Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. Precisely in this last course, he has managed to be a Beach Soccer FIFA referee, finishing the first of his promotion.
In 2019 he directed the final of the RFEF Federation Cup between Cornellá and Mirandés and recently he has directed the under 17 international matches between the Spain and Netherlands teams played at Guillermo Amor stadium. This afternoon, in addition, he will direct the match friendly under 16 between the selections of Spain and Switzerland.
Toni Pérez highlighted the career of the young referee and wished him success in his career as a referee. The mayor has encouraged him to continue with the same dedication and has reminded him that wherever he goes he will carry the name of the city.
