The mayor highlights the social commitment of the Rotary Club during the pandemic
The mayor, Toni Pérez, highlighted yesterday "the social commitment" maintained by the Rotary Club of Benidorm during the pandemic, months in which the entity has carried out 14 actions to support different groups; and he pointed out that the collective challenge now is to "get out of the situation" caused by the health crisis. The mayor made these statements during the act of exchange of necklaces with which the Rotary Club marks the change in the Presidency, which Enrique Ballester Beltrán yielded yesterday to Alfredo Melgar Terol. An act closed by the president of the Alicante Provincial Council, Carlos Mazón, and which, in addition to the entity's partners, was also attended by different mayors of the region. They all wanted to accompany Rotary Club Benidorm, which has expanded its radius of action to the Marina Baixa, and which posthumously granted the Paul Harris recognition to Batiste Fuster, founding member of the entity and former president, who died in April 2020.
