The Local Police renews its fleet with three new vehicles
As of today, the Benidorm Local Police has three new van vehicles that renew a part of its fleet and that are part of the package of 14 vehicles that will be incorporated into the fleet throughout the year. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the Councilor for Public Service, Lorenzo Martínez, and the chief of the Local Police, Juan Fuertes, attended the presentation of the new cars.
These are three Peugeot Rifter Active Pack Blue vans acquired through the leasing system "to improve versatility, mobility, and police presence in the municipality," said the mayor, who also stressed that it is "the first receipt of vehicles from a total of fourteen that will be renewed this year, of which seven will be plug-in hybrids, to continue with our commitment to sustainable mobility”.
The new vehicles have a displacement of 1,499 cubic centimeters and 99 CV, all of them equipped with an independent electronic system for supplying energy to the elements of the police kit. These new cars will be used for prevention and response services to the different neighborhoods and device requirements.
Pérez also highlighted the "great transport capacity in terms of the number of agents" and the "optimal benefits" for the city, direct attention to people, and the mobility of agents.
The mayor insisted on the will of the local government to "make the best resources available to the Local Police" and stressed that these renovations "represent a desire for the vehicle to be an important part of the service that guarantees the safety of the agents who patrol them, in addition to improving the care provided to residents and tourists.
