21 October 2016
La Junta de Gobierno Local adjudica las obras de Orts Llorca

The improvements offered by companies will allow more performances to those provided in the urban scene and water infrastructure

The Local Government Board awarded on Friday the works of the second and third phase of the project to improve stormwater drainage in Dr. Orts Llorca street, with which the maximum flooding on this road and on Mediterráneo avenue will be limited. The mayor, Toni Pérez, explained that "the works of both phases will be carried out in unison to coordinate the work and minimize discomfort" and added that "following the administrative deadlines, the work could begin the first week of November." The works of the second phase are financed 100% by the Provincial Council of Alicante, with a cost of 748,000 euros. This phase has been awarded to Pavasal company, and is to increase the capacity of drainage and rainwater collection. The third phase of Dr. Orts Llorca is paid by the City Hall and amounts to 324,000 euros; it will be executed by Sigma, and also plans to increase the capacity of rainwater collection and installation of gutters. The mayor explained that the tenderers have offered a number of improvements that "will allow more performances of projects planned in both phases and will result on the urban scene and water infrastructure." Thus, in phase two the company has offered an increase of 51.73% of the measurement, while the third has reached 75.75%.
