The local technical director of Benidorm Red Cross Local Assembly, Mª Carmen García, along with other members of the organization, presented this morning the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the councilors for Health and Social Welfare, Mónica Gómez and Ángela Llorca , the new ambulance that, since February 17, provides service to this NGO.
It is a Class B vehicle, Basic Life Support, Peugeot Boxer L3H2 powered by a latest generation 140 hp engine. Its interior, adapted to current health regulations, has, among other advances, a constant monitor, oxygen intakes and a semi-automatic defibrillator.
The vehicle, which replaces the previous model of the NGO in the town, improves its visibility with the incorporation of a new system of priority lights, also the turning angle and increases the security systems.
Red Cross Benidorm carries out preventive, welfare and rehabilitation actions among the most vulnerable people. Its Local Assembly has 1,772 members and 272 volunteers. Its headquarter is at Glorieta de los Carrascos, block I, ground floor.
