Part of the exhibition opens in Benidorm, where the artist highlights its “light and positivism”
L’Espai d’Art hosts the abstract art exhibition ‘Evoluciones’ by Alejandro J. González Cortés until September 24
The City Council’s Art Space is hosting from today until 24 September the abstract art exhibition ‘Evoluciones’ by the artist Alejandro J. González Cortés, who has been linked to the city since the late 1970s and who was accompanied today by the Councillor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez; members of the Corporation; family and friends.
Some of the works that make up ‘Evoluciones’ are being premiered in Benidorm and are inspired by the city itself, of which the artist has highlighted its “light and positivism”. González Cortés has emphasised that “abstraction always tells a story”; and has added that in this exhibition part of that story is a message of gratitude to Benidorm.
For his part, the Councillor for Culture has encouraged the public to visit this exhibition and discover the colourful abstract proposal of the author, whom he has thanked for having created ‘expressly’ several works for this exhibition, in which Benidorm is recognised and felt.
