The Recreational Cultural Association 'La Barqueta' of Benidorm has opened this afternoon at its headquarters in Tomás Ortuño Street, 62 the 'Exposició fotos de l'Alba', a collection of snapshots, which collects one of the most emotional moments of the festive calendar of the city: the Nit de l'Alba, the dawn of all the 16 of March in which the city recalls the finding of the image of its patroness, the Virgin of Sufragio in 1740.

The inauguration of the exhibition, which has been carried out with the collaboration of the Department of Fiestas, has been attended by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles and other members of the municipal corporation, as well as the queens of Festes Majors Patronals 2017, Anna Galiana and Àngela Antón; and the President of the Commission, Antonio Vicente Fuster 'Panchi'; a large number of members of La Barqueta Association, its board of directors and its president and at the same time president in perpetuity of the fiestas of Benidorm, Francisco Llorens Orts, 'Paco Rosera'.

The exhibition has managed to gather hundreds of photographs with the image of the patroness saint in the hands of the neighbors, some more known than others, but all people with emotion and devotion that characterizes the Nit d'Alba and that only those who live in Benidorm and participates in it would describe. The 'Exhibition of photos of l'Alba' will remain open until 20 March.
