The recital by La Vila de Sant Joan Symphony Orchestra, La Paz Musical Society and the Orfeón Cantabile, in the cultural program of Holy Week
The interpretation of Mozart's 'Requiem' by fifty musicians and 70 voices fills the parish of Sant Jaume and Santa Ana
The parish of Sant Jaume and Santa Ana hosted last night the performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 'Requiem in D minor K.626' by fifty musicians and 70 voices, all of them conducted by Benidorm Joan Espinosa. The recital, which is part of the cultural events scheduled for Holy Week, brought together hundreds of people who filled the parish and among whom were the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez; members of the Municipal Corporation; and the President of the Major Board of Brotherhoods of Holy Week in Benidorm, Estela Canales.
For just over an hour, the parish vibrated with the music of the prolific Austrian composer performed by La Vila de Sant Joan Symphony Orchestra, La Paz Musical Society and Orfeón Cantabile. After the performance of the 'Requiem', a plea for peace sounded.
The cultural program of Holy Week continues this Sunday, April 3, in the same parish with a new performance of the Sacred Music cycle, in this case by the Choir and Chamber Group of the Unión Musical. The appointment is at 8:00 p.m.
