The III Festival 'Les Ones' once again brings contemporary dance to the public spaces of Benidorm
The third edition of Les Ones Dance Festival will once again bring contemporary dance closer to the city's public spaces, as it has done in previous years. An edition that has been presented this morning by the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and the artistic director of the festival, Lidia Lara.
The contest will take place from June 29 to July 2 in the Plaça del Castell, the Plaza de SS MM Reyes de España, and the Cultural Center and will feature workshops, demonstrations, and dance samples.
The Councilor for Culture has described the festival as "very special" and recalled that it was born "to show contemporary dance in the streets of the city". Now, he continued, "comes the consolidation of the project in which the record of participation and the many workshops and shows for the public stand out."
On Thursday, June 29, two workshops will take place, by Ellas Dance Project (noon) and Rosanna Freda (4:00 pm) at the Cultural Center. At 8:30 p.m. in the Plaza del Castell, it will be the turn of the 'Hellouses and Goodbyeses' show and at its end another show by the Hiit Ellas Dance Project.
A day later, Rosanna Freda's workshop will be repeated at 4:00 p.m., and at 8:30 p.m. the Exhibition of dance schools and municipal conservatory of Benidorm will take place in the Plaza de SS MM Reyes de España. The day will conclude with 'Jupiter + jaguar' by Ellas Dance Project in the same place.
On Saturday, July 1, the day will begin with the workshops of Elías Aguirre (at noon) and Rosanna Freda (at 4 pm) at the Cultural Center and will continue with 'Trópico' by the Marroch company in Plaza del Castell at 8:30 p.m. This show will be followed by 'Escape Sonia García' and 'Flowerheads' by the Elías Aguirre company.
The last day of the festival will begin with workshops by Carla Sisteré (10 am), Elías Aguirre (noon), and Rosanna Freda (4 pm) at the Cultural Center. Subsequently, the Plaza del Castell will host the Choreographic Exhibition of the Rosanna Freda workshop at 8:30 p.m. and will be followed by 'Seismic Orchestra' by the Elías Aguirre company, to conclude with 'The sad-mad method' by the Carla Sisteré company.
Lidia Lara has highlighted for her part that the festival "will connect very well with the viewer" and has detailed that attendees will be able to witness "shows with a lot of color, variety, and textures that they will like a lot" every day.
