The IES Pere Maria Orts i Bosch has held its traditional End of Course Concert at Benidorm City Hall. Students from 1 st of ESO to 1 st of Bachillerato have performed 12 pieces under the coordination of the music teachers of the center David Sabater and Josep Lluís Costa.
The acting mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, who also holds the municipal competences in the field of Education, has addressed teachers and students to thank them for their work and has encouraged them to continue expanding their musical knowledge. "The music -has pointed- makes us better people and you are an example of it".
The students have interpreted Déjame, from The Secrets; YMCA, by Village People; Heig-ho, from the film 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'; Un rayo de sol, from Los Diablos; Firework, by Katy Perry; Cambalache, by Enrique Santos Discépolo, with Jon Sainz on piano and the collaboration of former professor Manuel Palazón; Romanian folk dances; by Bela Bartok; Pomp and circumstance, by Edward Elgar; Viva la vida, from Coldplay; Rodomontus, popular of the Renaissance; All falls down, by Alan Walker; and Sin ti no soy nada, by Amaral, with the student Raquel Contreras as a soloist.
